What will this day bring?

The infamous question which I ask myself every morning, hits full circle. The answer is, it will bring good things with a little help from yourself.
Well, for a start I got work once again. Am going to get there for 4.30pm. Guess I could go look at a few cars. As you can guess from the last statement, I failed to get a car at the auction yesterday. There wasn't anything on offer which suits me down to the ground at a decent price. Theres another auction on Friday at the same place and there should be another 20 odd cars there by then, so fingers crossed. I think the budget has been bumped up to around 250 gbp now.
Think I could also finish off a few unfinished songs that need music wrapping around the lyrics. That would be fairly constructive I suppose. The weather isn't too clever today, but at least it aint pissing it down like yesterday. Let's hope for some sun (don't care for heat) in the next few days. I heard through the grapevine that it's going to be sunny Hull for the weekend!
Oh yer, came up with the idea for doing a bit of a month tour inter-railing around Eastern Europe early next year while I wait for my Visa for Canada. On a shoestring budget mind as need cash for Late February. If anyones up for it, get in touch! Have a couple of people interested, could easily turn it into reality. Is dead cheap around that part of the year, so would be a pretty cheap but effective trip I reckon.
Might go down for a belated breakfast soon, I think some coco-pops might be in order.

Operation Getaway!

As you may have already guessed from my posts if you have read them, I have a huge desire to see different cultures. I think I'm also a very restless and impatient person at times, and I think this contributes to my need to get away at every opportunity. The only reason I have managed to live and work in England for a year, is that I have needed to get some cash. I also felt like i needed to get the qualification to broaden my horizons for life on the open road.
Anyway, I'll get more onto the point of the post now. I am off for a so called summer holiday at the end of August. I am flying from London-Stansted to Trieste, Italy. From there I am going to travel down to Dubrovnik in Southern Croatia where I'm going to spend a few days with a coupe of guys who I have got signed up for the trip. Then I'm heading off to the beautiful idyllic islands off the coast nearby before making my way back up to trieste again for my flight home on the 5th Sept. Am really looking forward to it as, it's going to be a bit different to what Im used to.

This is the world Heritage Old Town of Dubrovnik close to the Bosnian border. It was seriously bombed in the early 90's by the Serbs who live next door in Yugoslavia, now known as Serbia and Montenegro. There still re-building to this day using nothing but local materials to try and regain the magic that buildings used to possess. It looks like they have done a great job and I really can't wait to see it all in person. It seems weird that conflict to such an extent occured only a matter of a few years ago. The old city walls around the old town still remain and much of it survived the bombings. The town became slowly a popular holiday resort through the 70's but halted as the Yugoslavian civil war broke out. But the dust has just begin to clear from the once hazy atmosphere surrounding Dubrovnik, and tourism is booming after a long lay off through much of the 90's. Am looking forward to my visit.
The islands should be cool aswell. For those of you know these people, I'm going with Lee from work and Mr Andrew Couch, who I met In Alps. Am looking forward to some decent banter guys. Hopefully the crazy alcoholic Damo can get over for the week like he said he would. Hows things going in sunny Estartit Damo? If anyone else is up for it watsoever, get in touch with me!
The more the merrier to the extreme!

Onwards and upwards, and even further into the future, Im hoping to a crazy extent, that I am granted a 12 month work visa for Canada early next year. I can apply from January 2006 and the process takes a while so am guessing that i'll be gettin to Canada by at least the end of February.
Vancouver seems to be the preffered destination or at least first port of call. It seems a cool city, the fastest growing in the world with a population of half a million. Its also near the famous Whistler and Banff ski resorts so hoping to get up there for a few weeks somewhere along the line! Lee and I are off to meet Damo there, so again, if anybody is up for a party and a certain cool season, get in touch!
