First day of the rest of my blog life!
The most adventurous would love to visit the space outside earths atmosphere, but unfortunatley, in this day and age, the opportunities for humans to travel into space are nearing nil. However, I believe this is a blessing in disguise for us humans as a race. In my eyes, I see the earth as a lifetime of adventure.
The power of 'now' is the strongest of all. I am not going to crave to leave this earth, nor wish a minute of the day away.
Right, now that the serious stuff is out the way, I can get on with trying to explain why I have started this weblog. I am currently living and working in Hull, England and have been doing so for the past year. I now crave to be back out onto the open road, meeting the kind of people that have become my closest friends, and seeing the kind of sites that give everlasting memories.
I am still very much an amateur in the travelling sense as I still have not left the continent of europe but after working six months away in the french alps last year, I receieved the taste of the life away. I have the wanderlust and I think its here to stay.
I decided that to keep me going until my next venture and to prevent itchy feet as much as possible I should get on with a constructive project, so this is where 'distant sun' comes in. I am hoping that this weblog can become a log of events of my life on the open road and can, have the power, in time, to inspire people to go to the places they want to and see the things they feel they need to.
Welcome to my weblog!
